The Beginning
Olivia and Jeffery are high school sweethearts who met through mutual friends. They chatted for weeks over text before they finally met in person at a bonfire at a campground in Columbia Falls. The connection they felt online was even stronger in person and they spent the whole night, dusk til dawn cuddled in a hammock talking about everything that came to mind. After their all nighter they knew they were something that was going to last forever. Olivia said she’s basically been begging him to propose ever since then.
The Proposal
Last summer Jeffery went to a vintage jewelry store and picked out the whimsical ring he’d been promising her. They hiked up to a popular peak in Flathead valley and Olivia said she knew what was going down because Jeffery was practically attached at the hip. But when they got to the top there were dozens and dozens of people. Jeffery knew Olivia didn’t want a public proposal so they found a private little spot and got through the “awkward formality” of the proposal.
As such a chill and down to earth couple, Jeffery is a home care assistant and Olivia is a Montessori preschool teacher, they celebrated their proposal in a way more fitting for them the next day by thrifting and getting sushi.
The Engagement

Later we returned to the place they met to take their engagements and they showed me the spot exactly where they fell in love. Now this summer they are getting married on Jeffery’s parent’s ranch where Olivia will arrive in a horse and carriage.
Another side note not related to the couple: Olivia and I are childhood best friends. We used to spend hours at our hidden fort dreaming up what our husbands would be like and Jeffery is exactly what Olivia wished for! The first pictures I ever took were of her and it’s been a privilege to photograph these big moments in her life.
